Student Support and Advocacy Center is turning 10 in 2026, so we are hosting a variety of events over the month of October to engage with the Mason community with the goal of celebrating SSAC’s accomplishments over the past 10 years and highlighting our services. Event attendees will be able to explore our services by attending our Open House, pack support packages for survivors at our Pack and Snack event, and participate in a donation drive to help stock our new Patriot Pantry. Our celebration will culminate with our Cheers to 10 Years Reception, where attendees will be able to engage with SSAC staff to learn how our services have impacted students, hear how SSAC has grown over 10 years, and connect with others to help promote student success at Mason.

October 6th from 11-2 pm – SSAC Open House in Patriots Lounge (Fairfax)
- In order to share more about SSAC services and resources, we will be hosting an Open house where people can stop at various tables to engage with SSAC staff. Attendees will be able to win prizes by completing various activities on our SSAC bingo card! RSVP through Mason360 here.
October 13th from 3-6pm – Pack and Snack in The Plaza (Mason Square)
- To support our community partner Doorways, attendees can learn about SSAC services, pack some yummy snack bags, and write letters that will be given to sexual assault survivors. Enjoy a free slice of pizza when you are done! RSVP through Mason360 here.
October 15th from 10-1pm – End Hunger Games Donation Drive in SUB I Quad (Fairfax)
- Community members will be able to sign up as teams and compete to see who can donate the most items to stock up the new Patriot Pantry! At the event, there will be various games, activities, and swag to enjoy before we announce the winning team. RSVP through Mason360 here.
October 20th from 1-3pm – Cheers to 10 Years Reception in The George’s (Fairfax)
- During our final anniversary event, attendees will be able to engage with SSAC staff to learn how our services have impacted students, hear how SSAC has grown over 10 years, and connect with others to help promote student success at Mason. RSVP through Mason360 here.
