What do we do as Peer Mentors?
Peer Mentors assist GMU enrolled and incoming students in creating budgets and savings plans, managing credit and accessing other financial resources
We work closely with Mason’s EIP (Early Identification Program) and Direct Admissions Program
We help 12th-grade seniors read and understand award offer letters from Universities
We give financial presentations in high schools, University 100 courses, and other Mason programs
We provide FAFSA/VASA workshops for 12th-grade students and their families

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

VASA 2024-2025
Virginia Alternative State Aid
only for students that graduate from a Virginia high school and attend a Virginia college or university that are not eligible for the FAFSA
