Our team is mainly made up of first-generation students from various majors who have experience and can help students navigate financial literacy.

What do we do as Peer Mentors?

Peer Mentors assist GMU enrolled and incoming students in creating budgets and savings plans, managing credit and accessing other financial resources

We work closely with Mason’s EIP (Early Identification Program) and Direct Admissions Program

We help 12th-grade seniors read and understand award offer letters from Universities

We give financial presentations in high schools, University 100 courses, and other Mason programs

We provide FAFSA/VASA workshops for 12th-grade students and their families
