Student Support and Advocacy Center

Prevention Programming & Events

The Student Support and Advocacy Center uses a “Spectrum of Prevention” approach to our programming and outreach. The Spectrum identifies multiple levels of intervention and helps people move beyond the perception that prevention is merely education or awareness. The Spectrum of Prevention is a framework for a more comprehensive understanding of prevention that includes six levels for strategy development. All the programs offered by the SSAC are aimed at meeting at least one level of the spectrum. SSAC hosts workshops, programs, support resources, and more that work under this approach.
