Interpersonal Violence

Emerge

Emerge is a training preparing members of the Mason community to respond to survivors of sexual and relationship violence and to create a network of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to supporting survivors. Victims are most likely to disclose abuse to a trusted faculty member or friend. Therefore, SSAC provides a 3 hour training that will help you and your organization become more comfortable and skilled when responding to a disclosure. Knowing how to respond effectively can improve healing for the student victims and assists them in connecting with resources and support services.
