Survivor and Recovery Self-Care Space

For the Spring 2021 Semester, the Student Support and Advocacy Center will be hosting virtual Survivor and Recovery Space twice a week for the entire Spring 2021 semester. Survivor and Recovery Space is an advocate-led, drop-in virtual self-care space for Mason student survivors of any type of trauma and/or students in recovery. This is an opportunity for students working towards healing and recovery to be in the community with other students. This is not a therapeutic group and the content of the group will be focused on self-care and grounding. As these are drop-in times, students may join as many group times as they. want and may choose how often and which ones they attend. There is no registration required for the spaces. We will have one drop-in meeting Mondays each week and then will rotate between a Tuesday and a Wednesday every other week.

Here is the schedule for Survivor and Recovery Space:

Every Monday from 4:00-5:00 pm EST

Dates: 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3



Every Other Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 pm EST

Dates: 2/16, 3/2, 3/16, 3/30, 4/13, 4/27



Every Other Wednesday from 11:00 am-12:00 pm EST

Dates: 2/24, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5


We will host a special Eating Disorder Awareness Week Somatic Healing Survivor and Recovery Space on Thursday, February 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm.
